Dr. Crystal Shelton,  LCSW

I approach care with humor, compassion, and an open-mind. I also know that change is hard, developing insight can be painful, and avoidance seems like a better idea on paper than it typically is. As a therapist I value your needs, your pace, and your goals. We can get there.
I have extensive experience treating depression, anxiety, and PTSD and I believe therapy should have a lasting impact and help you to create meaningful change in your life, for the long-term.

I have trained extensively in psychodynamic and cognitive therapies. I offer formal, structured CBT for individuals looking to address specific issues or problems in a time-limited, brief period. For individuals looking for a longer-term focus on growth, insight, and relationships I offer dynamic psychotherapy informed by CBT.

Prior to founding Lucid, I was a military mental health officer, an executive leader, and a clinical supervisor. I earned my doctorate in clinical social work from University of Pennsylvania, where I continue to teach as adjunct faculty.

Ava Weiss,  LCSW, LMSW

I am here to help you heal and find comfort from whatever you are carrying. Though I work most frequently with depression, anxiety, relationship distress, and PTSD, I have experience with a wide range of individuals and a diverse array of concerns.  Therapy isn't "one size fits all", and I want to partner together with you to meet your unique needs.

My primary training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and I have experience working with military and veteran populations, survivors of domestic violence, and individuals with incarceration histories. Whatever you are facing, I'm here to support you with empathy, compassion, and humor.  Together, we can make powerful change.

Currently seeing clients in MD and PA.
